Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

Homvi ("Homvi," "we," "us," or "our") provides a home and asset maintenance tracking app and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Homvi app or website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

By using Homvi, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a provider account identifier from them instead of a password.

The content you add to Homvi. To provide the Service, we store what you enter: properties and their type (apartment, house, commercial), assets and their details (name, brand, model, install date), maintenance schedules, service logs (dates, cost, notes), reminders, warranty/receipt/manual documents you upload to the Document Vault, and contractor contact details you save (name, phone, email, notes). If you use Family Sharing, we store the email address of the person you invite and their access role.

Subscription and purchase information. Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and processed by our subscription platform, RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status, plan, and renewal/expiry dates — we do not receive or store your payment card details; those are held by Apple or Google.

Device and push notification data. If you enable notifications, we store a device push token (an identifier issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver maintenance alerts to your device.

AI feature inputs. If you use the AI Home Assistant, per-asset AI chat, AI maintenance suggestions, or the "scan a nameplate" photo feature, the messages, photos, and relevant home/asset data you send in that conversation are processed by our AI providers to generate a response. See "AI Features" below.

Diagnostic and crash data. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and basic device diagnostic information (device model, OS version, app version) so we can fix bugs. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics trackers.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. AI Features

Homvi's AI features (the AI Home Assistant, per-asset AI chat, AI maintenance suggestions, and photo-based asset scanning) are powered by third-party AI providers. When you use these features, the content of your message or photo, along with relevant context about the asset or home you're asking about, is sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. This processing happens each time you use an AI feature and is not used by us to train our own models.

AI-generated suggestions, insights, and scanned asset details are provided for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for the advice of a licensed electrician, HVAC technician, mechanic, or other qualified professional, and you should independently verify anything safety-related before acting on it.

4. How We Share Your Information

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run Homvi, and only to the extent needed for them to perform their function:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Homvi, our users, or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you).

5. Data Retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active, so the Service can function. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your properties, assets, maintenance history, uploaded documents, and other associated data. Some information may be retained for a limited period where required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You can review and update your account details at any time from Profile in the app. Two options are also built directly into the app under Profile → Account:

You can also turn push and email notifications on or off from Profile → Notifications, and disconnect Family Sharing access you've granted at any time. If you're in a jurisdiction that grants additional rights over your personal data (such as the EU/UK GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws), you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing — contact us using the details below.

7. Children's Privacy

Homvi is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) between the app and our servers, hashed password storage, rate-limited authentication endpoints, and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. International Data Transfers

Homvi's servers and the service providers listed above may process and store data in countries other than your own, including Pakistan and the United States. By using Homvi, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Homvi after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
